Description |
||
|
The Moving Average is calculated by averaging price values over the specified interval Length. Note that there is no Interval given, all values are with respect to the current displayed time frame of the chart. A line connecting the averages creates a smoothing effect which can help in predicting trends or revealing other important patterns. The Moving Average may be Offset backwards or forwards in time using the Offset setting. The Exponential setting applies a weighting based on the exponential formula, so that the more recent intervals have stronger effects than the older intervals. |
