Version 1.4 New Features

Version 1.4 adds a host of new bug fixes and improvements, as shown below.

Updated Manual compatible with Rev 1.4.

New FAQ. We know—it’s about time!

Plugins now have help files associated with them. In the case of a quote sheet and chart a new question mark icon will show up in the title bar. Click on it to obtain help on any plugins that are in the quote sheet or chart. If there is more than one plugin, a popup menu will appear with the various plugin names. Click on the one you want help for. A display type plugin (accessible from File->New will have a question mark icon in its title bar.

Industry name problem fixed. If you inserted into a quote sheet an Industry Name or Industry Sector field from Market Profile, the next time you opened the quote sheet the column would be blank.

New login status window displays text describing login tasks as they occur. This allows users to see the progress of the login procedure and helps in troubleshooting.

Login and status window relocated to upper left corner.

Shutdown dialog box. There is now a box that lets you know that RavenQuote is shutting down.

Workspaces are no longer possible of being wiped out when opening and closing files. Now when opening file, it is open in read only mode (prevents overwrites). Also saving empty files no longer causes workspaces to be damaged.

The status bar no longer blinks, and this time we mean it. This particular bug has been a real bear to track down, but its finally fixed. Note that the DOW item in the status bar does now work, instead you must use INDEX:INDU.

The Level II window now does decimals, up to four significant digits.

There was an HH/LL chart study plugin alignment problem, which has been fixed. In previous versions, if you made a color study that mirrored the HH/LL

plugin, the HH/LL plugin didn't line up (offset by a few pixels).

RavenQuote now remembers screen location. For example I have a two-monitor LCD system with a horizontal resolution of 2048 pixels and when I restart RavenQuote it puts the window where I last had it, in the exact size it was before I saved.

There was a pop up menu on the Bid Ask Chart that said “cursor tracking” and “cursor window”, but they never did anything and it has been removed.

The Keltner plugin “multiplier” parameter now works properly

Previously if you made a histogram via formula study on a symbol such as TICK.NY, the chart was all messed up because histograms always had a zero line and only accepted positive values. The new histogram is now sensitive to the data so that if it is positive and negative, it adjusts the zero line properly and draws histograms on both sides of the zero axis.

The msvcp60.dll, which is supposed to be part of the Windows environment, was not always found, so we added it to our installer.

Offsets in the Moving Average, Envelope and Donchian plugins had problems, they are now all working correctly.

Regression lines where not be able to be drawn while in log mode. You could draw regression in non-log mode and switch to log after drawing. Now they work correctly in both modes.

We are using the newest Continuum.dll.
